Although this is a rather mysterious and controversial passage I think the reference of the Lord Jesus Christ speaking about sending angels to gather his elect from the four winds and from one end of heaven to the other is talking about gathering his elect or believers from earth who are alive and those in heaven who have died with faith in God and Jesus and are in heaven by the time of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven to earth at the end of the tribulation and the beginning of the millennial kingdom. I think the reference in the Gospel of Mark with the parallel passage saying from the uttermost part of the four winds to the uttermost part of heaven is also talking about Jesus sending his angels to gather believers from earth and heaven. However one thing the Lord has showed me recently (yesterday as of this writing) is that there is probably a further parallel verse in the writing of the apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:10 to be exact. It is mentioned as in the dispensation of the fullness of times which is an expression for the administration or economy that will exist in the Millennial Kingdom or Messianic Kingdom after the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah) so the verse in Ephesians 1 would certainly be at the same time as Matthew 24:31 and Mark 13:27 and all these verses talk about a gathering of God's believers from heaven and earth at the same time. The expression in Christ (or in Messiah) also refers to God's elect or believers in a New Testament sense. There are probably a number of things going on and people groups involved in these verses. There will be true or born again Christians who will be most of those of the elect or in Christ who will be gathered from heaven and then there will be the remainder of the Old Testament saints and tribulation martyrs both Jewish and Gentile that die for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah) and will be in heaven by the time of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven and will be brought with him to the earth when he comes from heaven to the earth to set up His and God the Father's kingdom on earth. Then there will be God's elect from the four winds and from on earth or those in Christ who will be those who come to faith in the Lord Jesus in the tribulation but manage to evade the Antichrist and his forces who are trying to kill everyone who confesses the Lord Jesus Christ or Messiah as Lord and refuses to bow to the Antichrist (beast out of the sea) or take his mark in the tribulation especially the second half of it. I believe these latter people will be some of the sheep of Matthew 25 and those who populate the Millennial Kingdom and have children then on earth etc. There are some who believe in intelligent life beyond earth with various scripture references that might not be the best interpretation including these ones as those in heaven but there are serious questions for this idea including why wasn't God clearer about this so we could at least pray for these people especially if they needed to be saved too and how would God save these people would it be by Jesus dying for sins on earth or would he have to die for the sins of those hypothetical people on their planet by incarnating as one of them too. We are also just on the verge of determining if there are other earth-like planets and how common they might be. We are now just barely on the verge of having the technology of sending humans to other stars through nuclear fission rockets or solar sails so this would be another problem of reaching these people with the gospel if they didn't see a saviour there so I think thinking of the elect or those in Christ in heaven would be better viewed at those who have died in faith in Jesus and have gone to the third heaven of God's presence. The scripture references of God sending his angels to gather his elect or those in Christ at the end of the tribulation and beginning of the Millennial Kingdom or Messianic Kingdom at the time of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah) from heaven to earth is as follows:
And he (Jesus) shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:31
And then shall he (Jesus) send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Mark 13:27
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he (God) might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, even in him; Ephesians 1:10
After the judgments of God on a mostly unbelieving world are finished by the first part of Revelation 19, God sends His Son Jesus Christ to judge the world and set up His kingdom on earth for 1000 years. Jesus is pictured riding a white horse which was associated with kings in ancient times and that is what is meant here. Jesus' name is Faithful and True because that is his nature and that is also how he represented God during the time of His first earthly ministry when he went through the humbling of experiencing a human nature although a sinless one at that time. There is many systems of justice and war by human society on earth but only the Lord Jesus Christ as God in the flesh then glorified will be able to judge and make war in perfect righteousness. Jesus' eyes like a flame of fire likely is symbolic of him having omniscience and be able to use that in his righteous judgment of the world and not have people evade judgment by trying to hide their guilt etc with human judges. On Jesus' head being many crowns signifies he is the one who has the right from God not only to judge the world but to rule it with full authority. Jesus having a vesture dipped in blood signifies at least partly his dying for our sins on the cross of Calvary as part of the basis of his right to rule the earth. Jesus being called the Word of God is also appropriate because he as God incarnate also means whatever he says is the Word of God and he is the incarnate Word of God as well. The armies following Jesus are true Christians from this present age from Pentecost to the Rapture or catching up to heaven of the Church just before the tribulation starts. Our being pictured on white horses means we will also have the right to rule with Jesus in His Kingdom because we have trusted in Him as our Lord and Saviour and yielded our lives on earth when we are living our mortal lives to God and Jesus. Our being pictured wearing white linen is also symbolic that we will be wearing God's righteousness in Jesus for trusting in Him as our personal Lord and Saviour. Although all true Christians including myself and you if you are a true Christian before the rapture of the Church will be armies following Jesus in his procession from heaven it is Jesus Himself that will do the fighting the sword of his mouth which has the infinite power of God and His word. He will then set up His Messianic or Millennial Kingdom as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and later reign under God the Father for eternity. Most Bible teachers I have checked say this reference in Revelation 19 and the one in Revelation 17 of king of kings and lord of lords is to the Lord Jesus Christ especially at His second coming but most of them also say a reference in 1 Timothy 6 of God as king of kings and lord of lords is to God the Father. That the Lord Jesus Christ is twice given the same majestic title that is given to the Lord Jesus Christ is a strong statement in the Bible of the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ. The scripture reference of the glorious second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with his believing people from heaven to earth at the end of the tribulation to judge the world and set up his kingdom on earth from Revelation 19 and the scripture reference in 1 Timothy 6 of God the FAther called king of kings and lord of lords to reinforce the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ when that title is used of Him are as follows:
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:11-16
I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
At the end of the tribulation all the nations will come against Jerusalem to try to assault the Jewish people and take Jerusalem from them. Then God will give supernatual ability of the Jews to defend themselves to fight off their enemies but other scriptures show clearly that it will be mostly Jesus the Messiah that will do most of the fighting against the enemies of the Jews or Israel as in Zechariah 14. At the time that all nations come against Jerusalem at the end of the tribulation or 70th week of Daniel and just before the Messianic or Millennial Kingdom the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) will come from heaven and will set up God's kingdom on earth and judge the world and protect Israel or the Jews as well as Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus. Jesus (Y'Shua) will then also reveal that He as the Messiah that will liberate the Jews from their enemies in the last days is the same that has already died for their sins and those of the whole world 2000 years ago when he will then show his piercing marks and God the Father or Jesus will pour out the Holy Spirit on the Jews that survive the tribulation that will cause them to acknowledge that Jesus as the true Messiah and that he died for their sins who they had a part in putting to death as well as the rest of the world did through the Romans. The Jews will then mourn and seek to make atonement to God for their sin and humble themselves in receiving Jesus as a nation and individually as their Lord and Redeemer or Messiah. The following verses talk about the Jews at the time of Jesus' second coming mourning and confessing their sins to God through Jews both as a nation and individually. This will result in these believing Jews being treated by God as the restored nation of Israel in the Millennial or Messianic Kingdom as the head or first and no longer the tail or subordinate of the nations. The scripture reference of the Jews being delivered and compelled by Jesus and the Holy Spirit to confess their sins and receive Jesus as their personal and national Lord, Messiah and Redeemer in Zechariah 12 is as follows:
In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shemei apart, and their wives apart; All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart. Zechariah 12:8-14
Just before Jesus was put on the cross for our sins he was put on trial before the Jewish leadership the Sanhedrin. The high priest of the day demanded of Jesus by oath of God to tell them whether Jesus claimed to be Christ or Messiah or not. Jesus then replied thou hast said or that is right that he was and is the Messiah or Christ. Jesus also claimed to be the Son of God which not only means that he was claiming a special relationship with God the Father but that he was also God the Son as in Hebrews 1:8 where Jesus is addressed as the Son and called God. Jesus then went on to claim a prophecy of the coming to earth of the Messiah to set up God's Kingdom from Daniel 7:13-14 as referring to Himself. He referred to Himself as the Son of Man which was the term for the Messiah in Daniel 7 as coming at the right hand of power meaning at the right hand of the Shekinah glory of God the Father or the Ancient of Days coming in the clouds of heaven. These clouds of heaven would be either clouds from the third heaven as what we think of clouds or multitudes of angels but they are not clouds of only earth's atmosphere. The high priest understood what Jesus was saying as he responded by tearing his clothes which was a Jewish reaction to being very angry and astonished. The high priest also accused Jesus of blasphemy by Jesus' statement meaning the high priest was accusing Jesus of a man claiming to be God. If Jesus was just a mere man this would be a serious and justified charge but Jesus was actually God in the flesh so the high priest didn't have any right to be upset or despise Jesus and His claims. The scripture reference from Matthew 26 to Jesus referring to His second coming as an assertion of His authority as Christ or Messiah is as follows:
But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ (Messiah), the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. Matthew 26:63-65
The time of this passage is when God has finished a main part of his restoring Judah and Jerusalem to the land of Israel. God says he will bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. This is just between the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount on one side and the Mount of Olives on the other and would be readily visible from the Temple Mount and is likely the same scene as the judgment of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25 in the New Testament. The phrase that Jesus will sit on the throne of His glory in Matthew 25 is most likely saying he will sit then on the Temple Mount from where he would have a good view of the Valley of Jehoshaphat or anyone there. That my people spoken of in Joel 3 is clearly the Jews or probably the whole children of Israel should also give support who the least of my brethren are in Matthew 25 that they are also the brethren according to the flesh of the Lord Jesus Christ that is the Jews or children of Israel. The reference to the nations scattering the children of Israel to the nations could have some past reference although it might include a partial reference the persecution of the Jews in the last half of the tribulation but not a complete scattering as there will still be substantial numbers in the land of Israel. This action against the children of Israel will an offence to God and the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Redeemer of Israel as well as the Saviour of the world. One thing the nations are also accused of is parting the land of Israel. This should be a wake up call to all who think the land of Israel between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean doesn't all belong to the Jews or descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob or as some more radical Muslims and leftists say that none of it belongs to the Jews. Such people often deny past reliable history that the Jews were in the holy land for about 1500 years from about 1400 BC to 70 AD from the time of Moses and Joshua to the destruction of Jerusalem and the second temple. Efforts by world powers to part the land of Israel now by people like John Kerry or efforts in the tribulation to do this will be met with God's judgment through the Lord Jesus Christ as mentioned here is Joel 3 and probably as not providing for Christ's brethren in Matthew 25. The scripture reference from Joel 3 of God's judgment through Messiah Jesus on the nations persecuting the Jews or children of Israel especially during the tribulation including parting the land he gave to the children of Israel is as follows:
For behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Joel 3:1-2
God coming with His Messiah the Lord Jesus Christ will be a relief and moment of joy for his people on earth, in this case Jews that trust in Jesus or Y'Shua as their Messiah and Gentiles at the end of the tribulation that trust in Jesus or Y'Shua and support the Jewish people, but it will be a time of enduring God's wrath for those who opposed God and Jesus and the Jewish people in the tribulation at the end of the tribulation. Then the Lord, I believe the Shekinah glory of God the Father and the incarnate presence of the Lord Jesus the Messiah the Son of God, will come with fire or glory and with chariots. I think the chariots will not only hold perhaps the Lord Jesus Christ but some of his senior angels or saints. The idea of heavenly chariots was earlier demonstrated with the one that took God's servant Elijah to heaven in 2 Kings 2. This will be part of God's armies. The idea of coming in a whirlwind is also similiar to Elijah going to heaven in 2 Kings 2 and perhaps with the rapture of the church before the second coming of the Lord Jesus. At that time God will judge the world especially by fire as also mentioned in other passages such as in 2 Thessalonians 1. God's judgment through His Messiah the Lord Jesus or Y'Shua will also by his sword which will be the word of God according to Revelation 19. There will be many unbelievers that will be killed at God's coming with His Messiah Jesus and His saints and angels to judge the world and make way for the reign of God through His Messiah the Lord Jesus on earth at the end of the tribulation. The scripture passage from Isaiah 66 of God coming with His Messiah Jesus to deliver His people on earth to avenge himself of his enemies is as follows:
And the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD will be many. Isaiah 66:14b-16
When the Lord Jesus Christ comes at the end of the tribulation to the earth from heaven to judge the world and to set up the Millennial Kingdom or Messianic Kingdom, he will also be accompanied by his holy angels and the Shekinah or visible glory of God the Father. The skeninah glory of God the Father will dwell around the Messianic Kingdom Temple in Jerusalem and the holy angels will help the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) to judge the world and probably to rule in his Messianic or Millennial Kingdom. Of course other scriptures make clear there will also be many saints or believers from the Church age and other periods such as Old Testament believers and tribulation martyrs for Jesus from among both the Jews and the Gentiles or other nations. The scripture from Matthew 16 of the holy angels and God the Father joining the Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah) in his second coming to judge the world at set up His kingdom at the end of the tribulation and beginning of the Messianic or Millennial Kingdom is as follows:
For the Son of man (the Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah)) shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Matthew 16:27
The Lord Jesus gives a warning that people that are ashamed of him which would include ignoring him and his gospel or other parts of his word or for Christians not witnessing of him to unbelievers especially on a consistant basis. Jesus says that he will be ashamed of them when he comes at his second coming at the end of the tribulation to judge the world and set up God's kingdom on earth. Jesus says here in Luke 9 that when he comes at his second coming he will not only come in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels but also in his own glory. One aspect of the Lord Jesus Christ coming in His own glory can be understood by a verse later in that chapter in the account in the Gospel of Luke of Jesus' transfiguration. In that passage part of Jesus in His own glory is about His being transfigured or that came to radiate light. This will probably also be the case when the Lord Jesus comes in His own glory as well as that of the Father and the holy angels at Jesus' Second Coming. I believe the part of him coming in his own glory is understood in the parallel passage in Matthew 16 above. The scripture reference of Jesus warning people not to be ashamed of him at this time and that he would also come in his own glory in Luke 9 at his second coming is as follows:
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment (clothing) was white and glistering. But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. Gospel of Luke 9:26, 28-29, 32
In this passage in Matthew 25, the Lord Jesus Christ speaks of his coming in his glory or visible glory from heaven to earth. This will also be the time that the holy angels will come with the Lord Jesus Christ. Although not mentioned here believers including from the present Church age and God the Father in His shekinah glory will also accompany the Lord Jesus at this time of His second coming in glory. This event will be at the end of the seven year tribulation or 70th week of Daniel and before the beginning of the 1000 year Messianic Kingdom or Millennial Kingdom. At this time the God through the Lord Jesus Christ will also judge the nations of the world and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) will judge them among other things on how they treat the Jewish people especially Jews that believe in Him or possibly Gentile believers in Him (His brethren) during the tribulation when these people will be persecuted by the beast or the Antichrist for refusing to take his mark and being faithful to the bible the word of God and trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ at least during or for some of the Jews at the end of the tribulation as their personal Lord and Saviour. The scripture passage in Matthew 25 about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with his holy angels to set up his kingdom on earth at the end of the tribulation for the Messianic Kingdom is as follows:
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: Matthew 25:31
In 1 Thessalonians 3 there is an encouragement to Christians to live holy lives on this earth so that we will be found holy or honouring to the Lord Jesus Christ when he comes again at the end of the tribulation to set up his kingdom on earth and to judge the world. This reference also mentions the Lord Jesus Christ coming with his saints which will include all true Christians who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died for our sins and rose from the dead to give us new life. It will be an honour for true Christians to come with the Lord Jesus from heaven at his second coming but is based on salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour by God's grace. The scripture reference from 1 Thessalonians 3 encouraging holiness for Christians to prepare for coming with the Lord Jesus from heaven at his second coming at the end of the tribulation is as follows:
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. 1 Thessalonians 3:13
There is an account of the second coming in glory of the Lord Jesus Christ also in the Book of Jude. It also mentions saints coming with the Lord Jesus Christ. Although this prophecy is attributed to Enoch who lived before Noah and the Flood and soon after Adam, it was probably actually written in the two hundred years before the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ as were many other books used by some Jewish communities such as the Essenes by the Dead Sea. Although the number 10,000 for the number of the saints is used, in ancient times this number was also the word myriad and also meant a very large number. Although the saints here will include Old Testament saints that were raised after the Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead as in Matthew 27:50-53, there will also be included in the saints described here all the Church Age saints who will by then have been raised from the dead or transformed into immortal bodies at the rapture or catching up of the church before the tribulation. This coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with his saints will be the same as that mentioned at other times in this web page and will occur at the end of the tribulation and at the start of the 1000 year Messianic Kingdom or Millennial Kingdom. At this time the Lord Jesus Christ will also judge the world including bringing condemnation to those who by that time were still unrepentant and were continuing in their sins and hadn't trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. These people that are still in their sins in this passage are called the ungodly. The scripture passage from the Book of Jude of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with many of his saints or believers at the end of the tribulation or beginning of the Millennial Kingdom to judge the world is as follows:
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Jude 14-15
The Lord Jesus Christ will be revealed to the world from heaven when he comes in power and great glory at the end of the tribulation to judge the world. This will be a very visible and public appearance as opposed to the rapture of the church just before the tribulation that will probably be noticed to unbelievers mostly by only true Christians being suddenly being missing and this meeting will occur in the air or the upper atmosphere of earth or near outer space. In this passage in 2 Thessalonians 1 about the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ it is also mentioned that he will appear with his mighty angels as some references above from the gospels also say. This will not only be to judge the world but also to make way for the Lord Jesus Christ to set up his Millennial Kingdom or Messianic Kingdom on earth. The glory of Jesus' presence will be part of the means that he will judge his adversaries which are those who don't know God or that aren't obedient to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I encourage the reader to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died for all your sins through his death on the cross and rose from the dead to give you new life and yield the rest of your life to him so you can come with the Lord Jesus with his believing people rather than be judged by Him at his second coming at the end of the tribulation. To yield the rest of our lives to the Lord Jesus and to God doesn't mean you will be perfectly sinless for the rest of your life on earth but it does mean you will seek to live for God according to His word the Holy Bible in practice and ask his forgiveness when you fall into sin. Everlasting destruction for the unbelievers doesn't mean they will be annihilated or made to cease to exist but will be totally separated from God and brought to hell and then the lake of fire to suffer conscious and physical torment from God forever. Jesus will be glorified in the Christians or church age saints as those that come with him from heaven and we will share Jesus' glory or admiration when we come with him especially by those who become believers in the tribulation and survive in and will populate the Millennial Kingdom. The scripture reference from 2 Thessalonians 1 of the Lord Jesus Christ coming with his holy angels to judge the world at the end of the tribulation to make way for His 1000 year Messianic or Millennial Kingdom is as follows:
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe ( because our testimony among you was believed ) in that day. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10
In Revelation 11 there is a mention of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ at the end of the tribulation. There is a clear mention of the coming of both the God (the Lord) and the Lord Jesus Christ (His Christ) as distinct from God the Father. This is similiar to the Lord Jesus Christ saying before the Sanhedrin that at His second coming he would come at the right hand of power with the power I think being a reference to the Shekinah glory of God the Father. The mention of the Lord in Revelation 11 is probably also a reference to the Shekinah glory of God the Father. After the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father come at the end of the tribulation they as the one true God with the Holy Spirit will set up the Godhead's kingdom on earth first the Millennial or Messianic Kingdom and then His eternal kingdom on the new earth. At God and Jesus' second coming He will judge this world system and take it over to establish his kingdom on earth. The scripture reference from Revelation 11 of God the FAther and the Lord Jesus Christ setting up His kingdom on earth to replace the kingdom of this world at the end of the tribulation is as follows:
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 11:15
