In April 2023 China (with Iraq) brokered a diplomatic deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia. This deal enabled Saudi Arabia and Iran had each other's embassies closed for about 7 years leading up to this point. One of China's top statesman, Wang Yi, was a main person from communist China involved in achieving the diplomatic breakthrough between Iran and Saudi Arabia. (China has some clout with both Iran and Saudi Arabia because it buys substantial amounts of oil from both nations.) Among other things this deal was meant to ensure there isn't continuing substantial military assistance by Iran of Houthi rebels in Yemen. The Houthi rebels are mostly of a type of Islam similiar to the Shiite Muslims in Iran and are against the cenral government in Yemen and neighbouring Saudi Arabia as they see as supporing the central government in Yemen. US monitors just offshore of Yemen have noticed continued supply of arms (and drugs for drug trafficking) to Houthi rebels in Yemen from Iran even after the China mediated ceasefire deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia. This article about American monitoring of weapons from Iran to Houthi rebels in Yemen is according to the article: Special Online Briefing with Tim Lenderking, US. Special Envoy for Yemen - United States Department of State at link: https://www.state.gov/special-online-briefing-with-tim-lenderking-u-s-special-envoy-for-yemen/ as follows: "Moderator: Thank you, sir. We'll go back to the live queue at this point and take a question from Bander Alwarthan from Alyaum newspaper. Bander, please go ahead and ask your question. Question: Yes, Your Excellency, everyone, thanks for doing this. My question is regarding the shared vision when it comes to the United States, Saudi Arabia, and allies in order to bring peace and stability to the region. And also, from your perspective, sir, what do you think is the main challenge that is facing that and all the efforts should be focusing in order to reaching a space of success when comes to the shared goal. Thank you. Mr. Lenderking: ... I remain concerned. Despite the fact that we welcomed an agreement between the Saudis and the Iranians, I remain concerned about Iran's role, which is to sa that over the period of the war, they have armed and trained and equipped the Houthis to fight and attack Saudi Arabia. We're very, very positive that these attacks have not taken place for over a year, but the Iranians have continued to smuggle weaponry and narcotics toward the conflict, and we are very concerned that this would continue despite the benefits that could come from a Saudi-Iran deal. So that is a space, I think, we have to watch. And secondly, again, I point to we need Yemenis themselves to believe in the process and come together and unite, as they did during the national dialogue before this war began, to unite in common purpose to drive the important decisions about the future of Yemen. But nevertheless, all this said, I am confident that the region is moving in the right direction." This China brokered Saudi Iranian diplomatic deal also complicates Middle East politics as it cuts into American influence in the Middle East including it counting on Saudi Arabia as a strong ally in the Middle EAst for at least 20 years. This China backed diplomatic deal also complicates the up to recently gradually growing diplomatic ties of Saudi Arabia with Israel at eh encouragement of the United States. This is particularly true of American efforts under the previous Republican Donald Trump administration and the current US Democratic Joe Biden administration to extend the Abraham Accords of established diplomatic relations of Arab countries of Israel from Saudi Arabia.
There was an interesting article published in the Jerusalem Post recently in April 2023 about China exercising a more substantial role in Middle East peace efforts. The article is called: Could China serve as broker of Israel-Palestinian peace? - analysis by Seth J. Franzman at link: https://www.jpost.com/arab-israel-conflict/article-740131. The article begins by saying that China is rising in power and is willing to take risks in exercising diplomatic efforts in different conflicts around the world. This article mentions China's recent success in re-establishing diplomatic relations with Iran and Saudi Arabia and, in my opinion rightly, mentions that it could be much more difficult to achieve similiar success in a diplomatic breakthrough between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. One of the selling points that China is using to support their role in solving existing or long-standing diplomatic disputes around the world is that, compared to the United States or the United Nations (UN) or the European Union (EU), China is relatively new and not perceived as having long known bias at attempting and perhaps in the Saudi-Iran situation achieving diplomatic breakthroughs in long-standing diplomatic disputes in the Middle East or perhaps other parts of the world. In April China's foreign minister Qin Gang suggested China could contribute to efforts to realize an Isaeli-Palestinian peace agreement after he had conversations with government representatives from both Israel and the Palestinian Arabs about progress in Middle East peace although not with both representatives at the same time according to the United Kingdom (UK) newspaper The Guardian. According to the Jerusalem Post the Guardian newspaper article said of the recent Chinese Middle East diplomatic effort: "'The separate phone calls between the Chinese foreign minister, Qin Gang, and the Israeli and Palestinian top diplomats comes amid recent moves by Beijing to position itself as a regional mediator.'" The Jerusalem Post article goes on to say that from a United Arab Emirate article in a source called Al-Ain that for a number of years, "'China maintained good relations with the Palestinians and the Israelis, but it did not present itself as a mediator to resolve the conflict between the two parties.'" The Jerusalem Post article also mentions the traditional preference of Israel for the US to be the main mediator and not other nations or collection of nations in Israel-Palestinian peace negotiations as follows: "'Israel considers the United States to be the exclusive mediator in its conflict with the Palestinians, and has always rejected European (usually EU), UN and Russian mediation,'". The Jerusalem Post also mentions that the Palestinians believe that China could have a beneficial for them role in Middle East peace negotiations as mentioned by Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki in April 2023. However, the article mentions that the US considers China as a main competitor in the world for influence and has warned Israel and other nations to be careful with China's diplomatic efforts including its efforts to obtain leading or classified technology that the US has shared with Israel or other of its traditional allies. The Jerusalem Post article also mentions China's long standing close relations and support of the Palestinian Authority as follows: "China is reaching out to the Palestinians. Beijing says it supports the PA (Palestinian Authority), seeks to continue assisting the Palestinians and backs the two-state solution (or Oslo Accords). The Chinese said they would welcome visits by Palestinian officials." An earlier example of China's peace proposals for solving the Israeli-Palestinian Middle East conflict that could be seen as supporting the Palestinian Arab side more including the two state solution is in article in August 2017 in The Times of Israel with title China pushes four-point Israeli-Palestinian peace plan with link: https://www.timesofisrael.com/china-pushes-four-point-israeli-palestinian-peace-plan/. In this Times of Israel article it is mentioned that Chinese chairman Xi Jinping himself in 2017 met with in (the Chinese capital city) Beijing Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and gave an overview of his Chinese Middle East peace plan. This plan is as follows in four points: "Advancing the two-state-solution based on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem (that includes all the Old City of Jerusalem and all of the Temple Mount including the Western Wall retaining wall) as the capital of a new Palestinian state. Upholding "the concept of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security," immediately ending Israeli settlement building (in the West Bank (or Judaea and Samaria)), taking immediate measures to prevent violence against civilians, and calling for an early resumption of peace talks. Coordinating international efforts to put forward 'peace-promoting measures that entail joint participation at an early date.' Promoting peace through development and cooperation between the Palestinians and Israel."
There is an update of China's involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, including its likely greater support for the Palestinian Arab side, in an article in June 2023 in the New York Times. This article has the title: "Hosting Palestinian Leader, Xi Pushes China as a Peacemaker for Israel with subtitle In meeting with the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, Xi Jinping is pushing Beijing as an alternative to the US for diplomatic leadership." This article is at link: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/14/world/asia/china-mahmoud-abbas-xi-jinping.html. This article mentioned that Chinese leader Xi Jinping hosted in Beijing Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas as it tries to extend Chinese diplomatic efforts in the Middle East as it seeks to compete with the United States in worldwide diplomatic efforts. The Chinese state or Chinese Communist Party (CCP) controlled media asserted that the United States had failed on many occasions to achieve an Israeli-Palestinian peace in the time leading up to the arrival in Beijing of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. On one of the days of the four day state visit of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to China to meet Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Chinese Chairman Xi shared a three part proposal for Middle East peace based on the two-state solution idea. This proposal was basically similiar to Israeli-Palestinian peace proposals Chinese leader Xi made in 2013 (and also in 2017) that didn't achieve any significant breakthroughs according to this New York Times article. Around the time of this recent visit by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to Beijing to meet Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping in relation to Chinese efforts led by Mr. Xi to achieve progress in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks the Chinese state news organization Xin Hua made a statement as follows: "Justice must be returned to Palestine as soon as possible" and "China is willing to play a positive role in helping Palestine achieve internal reconciliation and promote peace talks". Both these statements were attributed to Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping. (This New York Times article also mentioned China's recent diplomatic success in achieving a breakthrough in diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.) In a further indication of China's or the Chinese Communist Party not least under current hardline atheist Chinese communist leader Xi Jinping likely bias in favour to the Palestinan Arabs rather than Israel in China's role or proposed basis of Israeli-Palestinian peace agreements or covenants the New York Times article said the following: "China has long been friendly with Palestinian leaders, and this week's visit by Mr. Abbas is his fifth to the country in his nearly two decades as the Palestinian Authority's president. China has frequently spoken in support of Palestinian statehood and backed pro-Palestinian positions in the United Nations. On Wednesday, Mr. Xi told Mr. Abbas that China and the Palestinians were 'good friends and good partners', according to the Chinese state media. The two men also announced a strategic partnership between China and the Palestinian Authority." In the same New York Time article the author, Vivian Wang, of this New York Times articles does acknowledge the relative less strong and less trusting relationship of Israel towards China and Chinese participation in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks as follows: "But China's relationship with Israel is less robust. And Israel's alliance with the United States all but ensures that is would be much warier of giving China a role in any negotiations. Israel is already under pressure from Washington to limit Chinese investment in the country."
Returning to the Jerusalem Post article "Could China serve as broker of Israel-Palestinian peace? - analysis" that I referred to earlier in this web page The Jerusalem Post article author mentions that China has recently spoken with representatives of both Israel and the Palestinians regarding the Chinese proposals for a Israeli-Palestinian peace. The Jerusalem Post article author goes on to say that there are a number of ways the Chinese proposals for this Israeli-Palestinian peace proposals could progress including how China could put pressure on Israel to make concessions or compromise their positions with the Palestinians as follows: "This will put Israel in an awkward position. If Israel appears to not be interested, it could cause China to see Israel in a negative light and begin to invest more in ties with the Palestinians and Iran. Tehran has interests here as well. Iran's agenda is to undermine the PA (Palestinian Authority) and spread chaos in the Palestinian cities via weapons smuggling."
Again from a Biblical Christian and prophetic viewpoint these increased efforts by mainland China to become more involved with achieving an Israeli-Palestinian peace solution is likely another indication that the false peace of the Antichrist with Israel that will allow Israel to rebuild their temple on the Temple Mount at the beginning of the 7 year tribulation is very near. This would mean the rapture or catching up to heaven in our new resurrection or spiritual bodies of all true Christians by now or at least by the time of the rapture before the beginnning of the tribulation and the 7 year 70th week of Daniel in Daniel 9 is very near. These recent efforts by China to become more involved in Middle East peace negotiations, especially supporting the Palestinian rather than Israeli interests, could give further insight what the scripture in Daniel 9 means that the false peace with the Antichrist (also the Beast of Revelation and the man of sin in 2 Thessalonians 2 as well as he who causes abomination in Daniel 9) will be with many (nations or groups of nations). China's increased involvement in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks with more support for Palestinian interests and position likely will make especially Israeli Jews feel more isolated in the world and desperate for a saviour which some will at least at first grab at the first opportunity when the Satanic Antichrist offers to support the especially Israeli Jews including to support the more biblical Jewish desire to restore Israel more fully with support for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple and resumption of the Levitical priestly sacrifical system on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem with a rebuilt Jewish Temple. Of course the Antichrist and the devil Satan behind the Antichrist will show his true colours starting at the mid-point of the tribulation (as mentioned in Daniel 9:27 and also in Revelation 13, 2 Thessalonians 2, Matthew 24:15 etc.) when the Antichrist breaks the covenant with Israel and his support of their using the rebuilt or third Jewish temple for Jewish worship of the LORD especially God the Father the true God (also including God the Son Jesus Christ or Y'Shua HaMashiach and the Holy Spirit) and the Antichrist probably sits down in the holy of holies of the tribulation temple and forces people on earth to worship him as God or be killed. That blasphemous forced worship of the Antichrist as God in the then (and now soon) rebuilt Jewish Temple in Jerusalem will end at the end of the 7 year tribulation when Israel's true Messiah Jesus (or Y'Shua) of Nazareth, the Saviour of the world and Son of God will come from heaven to earth at Jesus' glorious second coming and defeat the Antichrist and the False Prophet, Satan and all other demons or fallen angels and all still non or anti-Christian people of the world system and set up God's visible Kingdom over all the Earth as in Revelation 19-20 or Zechariah 14 or Acts 1:7-11 etc. When Jesus does come with all of His true Christ, some Old Testament saints, the glory of God the Father, and holy angels to Earth to set up His Kingdom it will be based in Jerusalem and likely with His throne in the holy of holies in the real godly rebuilt Jewish Temple as in Ezekiel 43-44, Isaiah 2, Zechariah 14, the tabernacle of David in Acts 15 and Amos 9 etc.in restored Israel, with believers of the nations and the true Church. Seeing all these things, including with the increased involvement of China in seeking an Israeli-Palestinian peace solution, seem closer to being set in motion I would encourage the reader, if you haven't already done so, to with your heart as well as head admit you are a sinner (not completely good or righteous according to God's word the Holy Bible and compared to Jesus' example) and trust in God's Son the Lord Jesus Christ God the Father's only begotten Son and His death on the cross for our sins and resurrection from the dead to give us eternal life. If you trust in Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour you can also have restored for you personally the severed spiritual and eternal child relationship of God we as humans can again have in Jesus that was lost in the sin and disobedience of our first parents Adam and Eve in taken of the forbidden fruit of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden. By trusting in Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour you can also be assured you will take part in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church (called out assembly to God through Jesus of people of all nations) and not be left on Earth for any part of the soon coming 7 year tribulation and that you can have eternal blessing with our Creator and at least potential Saviour God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit and believers of all ages as well as the holy angels in heaven and the Millennial Kingdom on Earth and then the eternal aspect of the Kingdom of God in the New Jerusalem, New EArth and new Heavens instead of what we as humans, including myself and yourself, all deserve for our sins of eternal punishment or torment in hell and then the lake of fire.
to earth at His glorious second coming
